Privacy policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, disclosed and shared when you visit or make a purchase from littlecritters.sg (the “Site”).

Personal information we collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. - “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

- “Web beacons”, “tags”, and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.

Additionally, as part of our day to day activities, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your and your recipient’s name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

How do we use your Personal Information?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).

Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Your Personal Information may be processed by Shopify in jurisdictions in and outside of Singapore. Please note that we also share relevant Personal Information with third party shipping / courier providers for the day to day running of our business (e.g. name of recipient for a successfully placed order, shipping address, contact number of sender and recipient). We are not responsible for the privacy and conduct practices of these third parties.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not disclose your Personal Information unless they are for regulators and law enforcement officials (including, without limitation, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights); lawyers; auditors; third party service providers and consultants; third party investors; credit, debit and charge card companies, banks and other entities processing payment; and any agent or subcontractor acting on our behalf for the provision of our services (including the third party courier services delivering our giftboxes to the intended recipient).

Do not track

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Data retention

We note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Where you legitimately request access to and/or correction of Personal Information relating to you which is in the possession and control of the Site, we shall provide and/or correct that data in a reasonable time and manner in accordance with its standard procedures as stated hereinafter. In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act, Singapore (PDPA), Little Critters Pte. Ltd. has established a process for receiving and responding to any query or complaint that may arise with respect to the application of the PDPA. Protection of Personal Information

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your Personal Information and will not knowingly allow access to this data to anyone outside Little Critters Pte. Ltd., other than to you or as described in this Policy. However, Little Critters Pte. Ltd. cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so entirely at your own risk. In particular, we do not warrant that such information may not be accessed, altered, collected, copied, destroyed, disposed of disclosed or modified by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons, or for any other purpose deemed reasonably necessary by us. You should look at these terms regularly. If you do not agree to the modified terms, you should inform us as soon as possible of the terms to which you do not consent. Pending such notice, if there is any inconsistency between these terms and the additional terms, the additional terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

Governing Law

This Policy is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. You hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.

Miscellaneous

This Policy only applies to the collection and use of Personal Information by Little Critters Pte. Ltd.. It does not cover third party sites to which we provide links, even if such sites are co-branded with our logo. We do not share your Personal Information with third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy and conduct practices of these third party websites, so you should read their own privacy policies before disclosure of any Personal Information to these websites.

We will not sell your Personal Information to any third party without your permission, but we cannot be responsible or held liable for the actions of third party sites which you may have linked or been directed to our website.

Our Site does not target and are not intended to attract children under the age of 18 years old. We do not knowingly solicit Personal Information from children under the age of 18 years old or send them requests for personal data.
